Henna colors do not lift the color from your hair, it only deposits color to the hair shaft. Lighter color hennas will be more true on grey or bleached hair. Henna color becomes richer the more it is appied and over lapped. The hair should be shampooed several times after application as it will take time to remove all of the small henna granules from the hair. For deepest color results we recommend sitting under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes with a plastic cap before shampooing, it may also be left on over night for maximum penetration. Then deep condition the hair under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes, sleeping with the conditioner on the hair covered with a plastic cap over night will yield maximum benefits.
